Have you ever wondered where the income tax you pay actually goes, rupee by rupee?

I had that question for a long time, so I built a site to answer that: [whereismytaxmoney.com](http://whereismytaxmoney.com)

I’ve been working on it for a couple of months now, correcting and improving every aspect as much as possible, and finally launched it last week. Have a look and let me know what you think. Suggestions are welcome - if a number looks wrong or something is confusing, I’d love to hear about it. I intend to maintain it long term if it proves valuable.

It’s an open-source project, and you can find the code and data here: [GitHub - ajinux/where-is-my-tax-money: Where your income tax actually goes, from the Indian government's own budget papers · GitHub](https://github.com/ajinux/where-is-my-tax-money)
