FOSS Hack 2025 - Results

Thanks so much for your patience as we took some extra time to revisit the Round 1 evaluations. We went back through all the projects with fresh eyes, and we’re excited to announce a few more winners. The creativity, thought, and hard work that went into each submission truly stood out, and it’s been great to see all the ideas and effort on display. This extra round of review gave us the chance to recognise even more projects that deserve a spotlight. With that, here are the additional winners from Round 1.

Wireview by Team Wireview - ₹50,000

Wireshark is the #1 open-source tool when it comes to capturing packets on the network. Once packets are captured, it is then saved as a pcap or pcapng file. However, when sharing this packet capture file with others, they need Wireshark or another PCAP viewing software to open and view the network capture file.


cssBro by Team 418 - ₹25,000

cssBro is an open-source alternative to CSSPro, offering an intuitive and powerful way to inspect, edit, and experiment with CSS on any webpage directly from your browser.


Firefly by Team Oreo - ₹15,000

A multi-room audio player to synchronize music across devices with low latency.


Terrace by Team bob - ₹10,000

Terrace turns digital wellness into stargazing - a beautiful night sky that gets cloudier as you use your phone, transforming screen time management into a mesmerising social experience.


Solderless SMD with 3D Printing by Team Jigita - ₹10,000

Jigit is a tool that generates 3D printable jigs that make it a breeze to solder through-hole electronic components with perfect results.


SysTune by Team Fulgur Code - ₹10,000

SysTune is a lightweight, GTK-based system settings manager for Linux, offering an all-in-one interface for configuring essential system and security settings while remaining independent of any desktop environment.


SARIF.nvim by Team SegFault - ₹5,000

A Neovim plugin for viewing SARIF formatted static analysis results. SARIF (Static Analysis Results Interchange Format) is an open standard for making results from static analysis tools interoperable. A few static analysis tools support SARIF output, while there exist many converters that convert other static analysis tool outputs into SARIF format (eg, SARIF Multitool).


Wroclaw-Transit by Team MASS TRANSIENTS - ₹5,000

A stopgap solution to making public transit more transparent, reliable, and accessible. Wrocław aims to act as an instance that groups can deploy with from the city transit authority, with an instance allowing contributors to share their current locations and then deliver this information to all subscribers to other through the GTFS standard.

To process the prize money for your team, we need the following information of each team member:

  • A copy of your PAN card along with the PAN number.
  • Bank account details.
  • Your current residential address.
  • The prize distribution details among the team members (this must be collectively decided by your team)

Additionally, please be informed that as per Section 194B of the Income Tax Act, a 30% Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) will apply if any individual receives an amount exceeding ₹9,999.
