# FOSS United Industry Partnership + Event Sponsorships

As finalised on the last member’s call, we are launching the FOSS United Industry Partnership. This partnership will help FOSS United to support charitable activities that includes conducting events and sponsoring FOSS Projects.

As benefits, we are proposing that sponsorship to our flagship events - FOSSHack and IndiaFOSS should be part of the industry partnership. (Also the only way to sponsor these events would be to become an industry member).

The reason is that we have limited set of donors, and does not make sense to go to them thrice a year (twice for event sponsorships and once for partnerships)
