# Updates on FOSDEM 2027

FOSDEM 2027 will take place on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 January 2027, at the ULB Solbosch campus in Brussels, Belgium.

Last year, the FOSS United Foundation (and FLOSS/fund) showcased at the event, and supported multiple community [projects/maintainers]( [FOSDEM 2026 - Updates](https://forum.fossunited.org/t/fosdem-2026-updates/6726) ) to attend the event. We’d like to continue that this year. Please follow this thread for updates.

Call for Stands is now open! - [FOSDEM 2027 Call for Stands — FOSDEM 2027](https://fosdem.org/2027/news/call-for-stands/)

FOSDEM offers free stands to FOSS projects to showcase at the event.

## Key Dates

- **Submission deadline:**  **October 31, 2026** (23:59 UTC)
- **Accepted stands announced:**  **November 8, 2026.**

The Foundation will also apply for a stand, and we are happy to let community projects showcase at our stand. However, we encourage projects to apply individually so we can ensure larger participation from the Indian FOSS community at the event. FOSDEM favours “joint submissions” (projects sharing a table) and we encourage projects to coordinate on that front.

Key dates:

- **04 October** : deadline for developer room proposals
- **20 October** : accepted developer rooms announced
- **27 October** (or earlier): developer rooms issue Calls for Participation
- **07 December** (or earlier): developer rooms publish complete schedules
