The Prav community would like to announce PravConf 2026, the second edition of our annual gathering. People from the wider FOSS community are invited to join us for two (or six!) days of discussion, collaboration, and exchange.
Prav is a freedom-respecting, community-run messaging service powered by XMPP. Popular messaging apps practice vendor lock-in, which means they only allow you to talk to users using the same app. Prav allows you to talk to all the users on the same network even if they use other apps like Quicksy, Monocles Chat, Dino, Gajim, Monal, and many more.

The Call for Proposals is open and we welcome talks and workshops related to FOSS communication technology, Prav, XMPP, Privacy, the Fediverse, or even more general ideas and philosophy of the technology we are building.
After PravConf, we will also be hosting two days of PravCamp (6 - 7 July at College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram). This is a more hands-on event where people sit together and work on tasks related to Prav or other XMPP projects. It is also a good time for new volunteers to sit with and get to know the community in person.
