This will thread serves as a collection of resource for people interested in knowing about the functioning of the FOSS Clubs.
This tenure we have more than 50 + FOSS Club , many new, few old and Active Clubs.
We also have a FOSS Club Committee now. With different people handling different things like in-person events, tech related issues, speaker management, communications etc.
In September, we also had a community call with all members from all FOSS Clubs.
We got many updates about their progress. Few Clubs have organized multiple events, while few haven’t organized any events till now. Many of them have planned the events, while few of them were stuck due to some restrictions by college.
Overall there were more than 25 events organized by the the various FOSS Clubs.
We asked all FOSS Club to try to promote the virtual IndiaFOSS conference as well so that more and more people can benefit from the online live stream as well.
We also planned and hosted two First Commit sessions in September. With Gagandeep Singh and Abhinav Raut.
The sessions went really well, but few things which can be improved are the designs of the posters. Since the planing and the sessions happened pretty quickly, we didn’t had much time to get better deisgned posters.
One more thing we need to take care is the direction of the First Commit session. Since in one of the sessions, the direction took a turn a bit more towards placements rather than open source.
