We deep dive about the broader ecosystem of FOSS, Digital Commons, Data and Pubic AI. We had a workshop on open source Agentic AI where folks practically explored how agents working by using open code and other open source models.

There are around 60 people attended this event

We can improve further boarding active and like minded folks (Inc girls). Also new freshers has been arrived to help them know more about FOSS and build strong open source ecosystem within college.

Yes, we incurred expenses primarily for snacks and refreshments to ensure a smooth and high-energy event for our participants, volunteers, and speakers.

Financial backing from FOSS United makes a massive difference for campus clubs and grassroots open source initiatives like ours. Covering basic refreshment and operational costs allows us to host welcoming, accessible events without placing a financial burden on students.

We will keep organizing more events so more folks can deep dive into open source and latest tech.

We took a deep dive into the broader FOSS ecosystem, digital commons, data, and public AI. Then came the fun part - a hands-on workshop where folks got their hands dirty exploring Agentic AI using Open Code and other open source models. People didn’t just watch; they actually tried things out themselves.

Around 60 students and faculty.
12. What went well?
The hands-on Agentic AI workshop and broader of FOSS ecosystem was the highlight. People loved getting practical time with open source tools. Our team coordination went smoothly, and the energy in the room was great throughout. Attendees were genuinely curious and engaged, which made the effort worth it.
13. What could be improved?
We want to onboard more active, like-minded folks - including more girls - into the club. Also, the new freshers just arrived, so we want to help them understand FOSS early and build a strong open source ecosystem within the college. We’ll work on better outreach and orientation for them.
14. What open source tools did you use?
Wikipedia, Open Source licenses, Open Code, and Codex.
15. Any challenges with those tools?
Internet issue during workshop. College wifi was not working
16. Crowd favorite?
Open Code- easily the most loved tool of the day.

Helped beginners to understand the broader of open source and ai.
18. Good fits as future mentors/speakers?
Zaki Anwer would be a great fit for academic-oriented sessions on open source.
Rohit can talk on public policies and broader of open source.
Prit Kumar can run the Agentic AI workshop again for other clubs- it was the crowd favorite.

Yes. mostly on snacks, refreshments, for participants, speakers, and volunteers and operational costs to run event smoothly that help us to accessible events without burdening students.
20. Anything else?
We’re planning more events so more folks can deep dive into open source and latest tech. Also scheduling the post-event call with the FOSS United team.
