We are happy to announce that FOSS United Foundation now has 12A and 80Gš„.
What is 12A?
12A registration is a one-time registration that is granted by the Income Tax Department to trusts and other not for profit organisations. Now, the foundation does not have to pay income tax on funds received.
What is 80G?
Section 80G is a facility available in the Income Tax Act which allows taxpayers to claim deductions for various contributions made as donations. Now, our donors can claim deductions on their donations to the foundation.
This will now help FOSS United Foundation to raise funds from the industry to give out FOSS grants and funding.
Soon we will start our donation campaign to raise funds.
