Hello, I am Roni Bhakta, a Google Summer of Code (GSoC) 25 participant at Internet Archive. I am affiliated with the A. G. Patil Institute of Technology in Solapur, Maharashtra. We are planning to host a Hackathon at my institute, titled AGPIT Hackathon 2k25.
The Hackathon will consist of two rounds. The first round will involve PPT submissions through Unstop. The second round will be conducted in-person, where teams will be provided with all necessary facilities for a 24-hour coding session. We anticipate having approximately 25-30 teams of four individuals, each responsible for working on different sectors projects. Round 2 will feature a collaborative approach. We will create a shared GitHub Organization page where each team will be provided with their own repository. An internal team member will monitor the teams’ activities in the background. The objective is to encourage teams to code from scratch, with no pre-made code or projects being accepted. Additionally, we will have teams monitored by a jury, who will randomly assign them small features to integrate into their projects. This ensures that teams have well-prepared projects and are incentivized to code from scratch, aligning their work with their original projects. Simultaneous monitoring of repositories will be conducted.
