Levyra 2.6.5 is out for Android

Hi everyone,

I shared Levyra here a few weeks ago, and I wanted to post a little update since quite a lot has changed.

I’ve just released version 2.6.5 for Android.

I’ve spent most of my time working on the interface. The Home screen was feeling a bit empty, and some parts of the app didn’t really fit together visually. I’ve redesigned quite a few things, especially Home, Explore and Library, using Material 3 Expressive. The Player and mini-player have also had some work.

There are some new features too.

You can now adjust audio buffering manually if the default settings don’t work well with your connection. AutoEQ supports more headphone preset formats, and I’ve added a few more options for managing your playback queue.

I’ve also been working on animated artwork, including support for Apple Music artwork, and fixed a memory issue that could sometimes crash Explore.

There are plenty of smaller fixes in this release as well.

Levyra is still free and open source, supports 37 languages and doesn’t require an account. I’m developing it on my own, mostly in my spare time, and there’s still a lot I want to improve.

The Windows version is also available, although it follows a separate release schedule.

If anyone here is using Levyra, I’d love to hear how it’s working for you, especially what you think of the new interface. I’m always interested in hearing about bugs or things that could be better.

And if you enjoy the project, leaving a star on GitHub is more than enough to support my work.

Thanks for reading!
