Hi there!

This is Praneel Sindhole again from MS Ramaiah Institute of Technology,
Point of Contact for the Open Source Club MUKTI!

Just swinging by to share that we successfully conducted another event SATARK 4.0!!!
This is our flagship cybersecurity hands-on event that we organize every year.

During the event, we demonstrated open-source tools and highlighted common vulnerabilities that occur when building “vibe-coded” projects.

@Sanjay1927 started off the event with an introduction to cybersecurity and the importance of open-source tools and Linux in the field.

He then showcased the following tools:

One of the highlights of the session was the maigret tool, attendees were particularly impressed by its capabilities. Many participants showed great curiosity and stayed back after the session to learn more about how it works and how they could use it themselves.

It was also encouraging to see a significant number of attendees who were completely new to cybersecurity. Despite having little to no prior exposure, they showed keen interest throughout the session, actively engaging and asking questions.

As we had recently recruited new members, we also had them present on AI in Cybersecurity: The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.

The event was conducted offline on our college campus, starting at 2:40 PM, at LHC Seminar Hall 2.

We had a 70% turnout rate with 100+ RSVPs, and the event was an overall success!

Thanks for reading!
