I was in Delhi last weekend for the in-person conclusion of the Wikimedia Developer Skill Development Program India, where I also gave a workshop on technical writing in the age of AI.
There was a nice blend of project work / contributions made by a few groups part of the Indic Media Wiki User Group: presenting bots, gadgets, extensions, and tools they had spent months building for various Indic-language wiki communities, and conversations around why this kind of open knowledge work still matters.
It was also nice to see FOSSUnited represented there too by @ashlesh_biradar, (hope he does not mind the ping here!) who gave a talk re: the initiatives FOSSUnited offers for OSS folks (forklore, financial aid, etc.).
I wrote a longer post with more context and photos here: Technical writing and community at Wikimedia DSDP | Haleshot
