Was in Gandhinagar last weekend for Open Source Day 2026, where I gave a talk in the community track: “Lessons from building a devtool community,” mostly drawing from my time working at marimo.
The talk went fine, but the day had some roughness I wasn’t expecting. My session ran more than an hour late because the keynote sesions overran, and by the time the community track resumed, the room had already thinned out. The keynotes themselves were uneven: the first kept switching languages, the other had moments that sat oddly given that a speaker CoC had been circulated to everyone beforehand…
