For those new to Barcamp:
What is Barcamp?
Here’s what Wikipedia has to say about BarCamp
BarCamp is an international network of user-generated conferences primarily focused around technology and the web. They are open, participatory workshop-events, the content of which is provided by participants.
In short, it’s an event where the content is decided by the community, as opposed to a panel of selectors as chosen by organizers. We as planners arrange for the infrastructure and give people a platform to speak about anything. We prefer discussions as opposed to speeches, and typical Barcamp sessions have a fair amount of discussions.
The sessions are selected on the event day on a first-come, first-serve basis.
When and where it is?
It’s on Nov 5, 2022 at RV University, Bangalore.
Is it a paid event?
No, the event is completely free. We rely on sponsors to cover the costs of running the event.
Does it have alcohol, liquor or is it in a bar?
Well, not quite - we get asked if it’s anything to with liquor, but no. That said, if you’d like to talk about how to choose the right whiskey, well you’re welcome to propose a session
Are only tech talks allowed?
Barcamp isn’t just tech. You’re welcome to share and teach us about anything you’re passionate about. Check out our current proposed talks here or past edition talks.
I also wanted to highlight about Barcamp Bangalore’s Techlash. Techlash was conceived as a six-minute, rapid-fire project showcase session. We’d love to see a demo of your (open source) projects during Techlash.
