What’s Being Proposed
Bridging forum.fossunited.org with the existing Telegram and Matrix chat rooms using the built-in discourse-chat-integration plugin.
This plugin automatically sends notifications about new forum posts to chat rooms allowing community members to stay up-to-date without constantly checking the forum.

Since the FU Telegram and Matrix rooms are already bridged, enabling this plugin on either platform will automatically make the updates visible on both.
Why is it required?
- Chat apps are more frequently accessed and are easier to check on the go.
- Keeps everyone informed about new discussions and updates on the forum.
- Increases the likelihood that members create and participate in forum discussions.
How to Configure
The plugin is already bundled with Discourse Core, so there’s no additional installation or maintenance overhead.
Once enabled, configuration can be done from the forum’s admin panel under Plugins → Chat Integrations.
