TechnoHack 2023 | 18th March 2023 | Solve Most Critical Societal Problems Through Tech

TechnoHack β€˜23 is a 24 hour offline national-level hackathon, organised by Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development Cell (IEDC) of Govt. Model Engineering College, that aims to invite the brightest innovative minds across the nation to solve the most critical problems faced by our society.

TechnoHack will consist of a list of tracks, each with at least 3 problem statements. The tracks are selected based on the sectors that our society needs innovation in.

Date: 18th March 2023 (02:00 PM) - 19th March 2023 (04:00 PM)
Venue: Govt. Model Engineering College, Kochi, Kerala
Team Size: 2 to 4 members.
Entry Fee: Free. We are trying to create an open platform for students to innovate for a better tomorrow.
Prize Pool: Rs. 1,00,000 (Tentative)
Expected Number of Participants: 200+
Registration start : February 15th 2023(Tentative)
Registration closes : March 10th (Tentative)
Tracks :

  1. Open Innovation Track : This track is all about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible with technology. Whether you have an idea for a cutting-edge app or a creative solution to a complex problem, the Open Innovation Track is the place for you.
  2. Environment Track: Climate change is one of the greatest challenges facing our planet. The Environment Track is dedicated to developing technology solutions that help reduce our carbon footprint and protect our environment for future generations.
  3. Healthcare Track: Healthcare is an increasingly important area in which technology can make a big difference. The Healthcare Track is all about using technology to improve access to care, reduce costs, and save lives. From telemedicine to medical device design, this track covers a wide range of issues that are critical to the future of healthcare.
  4. Cyber Security Track: With increasing threats to data privacy and security, the Cyber Security Track is dedicated to developing solutions that protect us from cyber attacks. From encryption technologies to secure data storage solutions, this track is all about keeping us safe in the digital age.
  5. Government Aid Tools : Tools for Anti Drug Abuse, Agriculture sector and MSME support (Tentative).

Update Regarding TechnoHack :

We have decided to mandate that participants, irrespective of the tracks, make their projects open source and follow FOSS guidelines.

Also after talking to @WishArya and @mriya11 we have decided to use FOSS Hack Dashboard for listing projects and accepting registrations.
