Explain the event briefly:
The Maveli Files was a one-day mystery hunt organized by FOSS CCE as part of Tharang 2026. The event revolved around the fictional disappearance of Mahabali after returning to the renovated CCE campus. Participants had to follow clues, explore the campus, connect the information, and solve the mystery.

What went well?
The mystery-based format received good participation and engagement. The storyline, themed case files, campus-based clues, and investigation-style challenges encouraged students to work together, observe details, and solve the mystery.

What could be improved?
Future editions could include more stages, varied clues, and additional challenges to make the mystery more interactive. Better pre-event promotion could also help increase participation.

The Maveli Files website was developed as an open-source project and made publicly available on GitHub. We also used a Telegram bot as part of the event to support the mystery-hunt experience and participant interaction.
