Hi all, interested in volunteering at FOSS United at the Bangalore chapter.
Sharing the requested details below:
- Why do you want to volunteer?
Working closely with technology for a while, first as a self-taught developer during college, and now in the Go-to-market side at a Series A startup. Being around startups has deepened my interest in technology, open-source, and the process of building meaningful products.
I’ve always admired communities that create and share knowledge openly, and FOSS United feels like a strong intersection of technology, community, and contribution. A friend, Ujjwal Sharma (Igalia), suggested I connect with the team at FOSS United, and it felt like the right place to contribute, learn, and meet builders who care deeply about creating quality products.
- Previous experience, if any
I don’t have formal volunteering experience yet.
My background started in software. I was a self-taught developer and spent time building and understanding products from the ground up. Over time, I moved into marketing & GTM and growth at an early-stage startup, where I now work closely with product, sales, and customer-facing functions.
Great at understanding & working on business-side of tech.
