What’s the project?
Please send me an email regarding this.
Sure, let’s continue this conversation on telegram.
Its not a project, it is a program. Where folks who build open source projects can submit them. We showcase them and provide their projects a platform. Good projects will also be given platform in our monthly meetups. This will urge developers to come up with quality open source projects and we will provide them place to showcase them.
Can you send me your email on telegram ?

We succesfully conducted our Second Weekly meetup on 31st Jan(Wednesday) in after college hours from 5 - 6/7pm where we discussed about Penpot and came together to discuss and learn.
GOAL
Penpot, an emerging open-source design and prototyping platform, has caught my attention with its commitment to providing a viable alternative to proprietary solutions like Figma. As I embark on this transition, my goal is not just a personal shift, but to encourage a broader community to consider the merits of Penpot as a free and open-source software (FOSS) option.
Here is the link of the slide :- PENPOT ( FOSS meet ).pdf - Google Drive.
Glimpse:-
We are planning for Monthly meetup, currently venue is in talks.
We’ll send a proper Excel Sheet on requirements of swags and goodies. Design team has been engaged in making designs for club specific stickers(as discussed with @ansh )
Foss Evangelist Brochure is ready up here :- FOSS EVANGELIST BROCHURE.pdf - Google Drive , need some inputs on that.
We are all ready to work on the Website for the club after our Mid semester exams i.e. post Mid February.
A collaborative event with IIC(Institute Innovation Council) is in talks.
Following Week We are planning to post about Firefox as Alternative of the Week.
What Support we need from Foss United
I apologize , but I won’t be able to join community call this week, as I will be participating in a hackathon .
Also, would love to hear inputs on the proposed evangelist program.
When else can we have the meet ? lmk please
Continuing this conversation on telegram.
This looks good! As I said previously, this is a very interesting initiative, as long as we make sure that the leads (current and next batch) first focus on spreading the philosophy within their campus, since it is in a nascent stage right now.
Feedback-
Minor fix
Also, let’s follow the general branding for the logo keeping the city name in english only? An outsider may not be able to understand what is written
Also make the text selectable to make the pdf more accessible?
Sure, thanks for your inputs Ansh
We’ll look into these issues and suggestions.

You can check them out on our socials : https://fossclub.bio.link
We Continued with our Weekly Meetups and have started discussing and learning to use Linux in those so that the team members and the participants get hands on training in using Linux, thus training them for the Linux Installation Fest.
We are planning to develop a Website for the club inspired from KOSS IIT KGP, the website will give details about the club and its activities, its members, leaders and etc.
The ideation of website has begun, we are planning to use simple HTML, CSS and Javascript as Tech Stack as team members are more comfortable with it and as the website must not require the need for a framework.
As informed earlier, we are about to start Kalyani FOSS Monthly Meetup, we had planned it for 26th Feb earlier at a nearby college but due to last minute venue availability issues, had to postpone it.
We are planning to continue with the Meetup from March.
Venue is in talks, will be partnering up with a local community for venue partnership.
Will release CFP soon.
A detailed thread on the Monthly Meetup will also be released very soon.
We will soon write an email regarding swags and goodies as we’ll be needing them for our meetups and events.
Overall February has been little inactive month due to Mid Semester and Postponement of Monthly Meetup. However, we are slowly getting back on track.
An initiative to provide platform to help developers showcase their open source projects and help the project reach the right audience. The developers can get a chance to talk about their project in the meetups/events/sessions we host.
Your Project should be novel, impactful, free and open source and it should be a finished product to use.
No Deadlines , this window of opportunity is open all the time, you can submit your projects and will get an invitation as and when we host an event - be it online or offline.
A separate thread has been created, you can check out the details here - Kalyani FOSS Meetups
Updates regarding meetups will be shared here as well.
