Last year, FOSS United Foundation covered a deficit of almost INR 10L incurred from IndiaFOSS 2024 - [Planning] IndiaFOSS 2024 - #36 by fossdot

We are happy to announce that IndiaFOSS is now financially sustainable. The surplus of INR 7.4L will be reserved to help support future editions and IndiaFOSS activities. We would like to thank our volunteers, sponsors and our Industry Partners for supporting IndiaFOSS 2025. A special shoutout also to the 200+ people who bought non subsidized tickets to support the costs of the conference.

Please respond to this thread in case you notice any discrepancies.

There seems to be a couple of discrepancies in the income section.

Based on just count and rate alone, T-shirt sales accounts for ₹200K, hoodies for ₹150K, and diversity sponsors for ₹300K. So that’s a surplus of ~₹114.5K.

Even after that correction, a surplus of ₹630.5K is quite commendable, and I’d like to thank every volunteer that made the event happen.

Thank you for pointing this out. The rate and counts were the “expected numbers”. The amounts mentioned are correct (since we were able to sell more merch than we expected) but we don’t have exact numbers on the number of t-shirts and hoodies sold. I will remove those figures and only mention amounts to prevent confusion.
