The list of final volunteers is being made and will be discussed in the next volunteer call this Friday. We currently have 40 volunteers (excluding design and diversity volunteers) and shall contact FOSS Clubs for 20 more volunteers for on-ground support.
We currently have 10 sponsors eligible for booths, and 5 more spots available. A round of final sponsorship follow ups and calls with existing sponsors will happen soon.
DIversity
Updates on diversity scholarships have been sent out. 70 applicants have been approved
a. 32 are women, and 36 are men. This includes people who have requested for accommodation, travel and/or conference tickets
b. 32 applicants are from tier2/3 cities
c. The total cost of tickets is Rs 2.1 lacs, and for accommodation, it is around Rs 1.5 lacs
We will start booking accommodations for them soon
Design, Campaigns
We will be sending T-Shirts for printing, and are in the process of checking delivery timeline and getting size confirmations
The design team has a template for speaker posts ready
A digital attendee kit for people to promote the event is being prepared
Devrooms, CFPs
3 devrooms have finalised their schedule completely
The workshop ticket is priced at Rs 127. We will make the page live on Monday (24 Aug 2026) for this

14 lightning talks have been approved. We will keep 3 lightning talks in the waitlist and provide them tickets to attend.
Meetings with IndiaFOSSS sponsors is ongoing to discuss their participation in the IndiaFOSS events. Met the Tangled team today

It does feel expensive compared to what we pay, right - and that should pinch more people! Hopefully somebody in the community will come up with a better alternative for next year… This does equate to 85 rs/person - compared to say 120+GST for breakfast!
