India's First Operating System with its own kernel

Hello folks,

We’re Xeneva, a Deep Tech Startup founded by two college students and we’re building India’s First Operating System with a custom kernel from scratch. We’re also Open Source & accordingly, have gained some attention internationally on global communities, forums and have a few articles published about us here and there. In the global prospect, we’re the first XR(AR/VR) Native Operating System and offering immense optimization in that field. However, since we have our own kernel, we have the potential to cater to any and every use case from Mobiles, PCs to niche subsets such as Healthcare, Robotics, Defence and even custom tailor made enterprise grade bundles. We’ve done prior market research and analysis before shifting our global focus on the XR market. But on top of that, within the nation our focus has been breaking the reliance & dependency of India on Foreign Tech & Systems. We aim to be a technological powerhouse both globally and for the nation.

We’re yet to progress further and have scheduled our Public Beta Release for the XR platform in November this year. We’ve been selected to showcase ourselves at IndiaFOSS 2025 and will be making our first public debut there. We’d request you guys to come to the event and visit us!

Noticed Xeneva don’t yet support real hardware - and that’s going to be an interesting phase for this project. Regardless, this is a very interesting development that will be closely watched by many. Keen to see this at IndiaFOSS.

Missed visiting your booth at the event @ayushmaan_bora . Never realized running the show would take up so much of my time ! I hope you were able to create useful connections during the conference. We’re all ears for any feeedback on the event - starting from your initial booth application, ending up in the conference. Please post your feedback in this thread.

rdns dev here

We had a community booth.

I sense that some students are super enthusiastic but some are just there to while away time, even have one or two insulting things to say.

Not sure if travel / stay for students is subsidized or sponsored, but clearly, the uninterested must be filtered out, as they seem to be at the conference just for the giggles.

Hello Mr. Shree ! It’s fine since we still met during the event and we were delighted to connect with you and the FOSS United Team. We did make useful connections during the event and the entire event was a great opportunity for us! We’ll make sure to share our feedback in the thread. Also, we had a small request - There was a professional videographer who took a few clips of our booth which were perhaps quite decent. If possible, we’d love to have those clips as we’d be able to post them on our own social pages.

Thank you for having us at IndiaFOSS.

Good to know.

These will be up sometime “soon”. You’ll probably get an email with a link to the photo album, but I don’t know about generic videos and how they get handled. Worst case just check back in two weeks.

Alright! Will make sure to check back in a while. Also, we do know our video/clip number on the camera if that helps us gain access to it.
