Hi Everyone, I’m Ujjwal Kumar Singh, currently working as a Software Tester in a Fin-Tech company, Gurgaon.
I started my contribution to open source with Selenium, which is also one of my favorite open-source tools out there in the market for automation.
Initially, I started with contribution to the Documentation part, but now I’m exploring contribution from the technical aspect also. And now, along with Selenium, I’m part of other open-source projects like Mastodon, etc.
I recently joined FOSS United to share ideas, gain from the insights, and collaborate more with people from the open-source community.

TraceTree(OSS Runtime Security)
What it does: A behavioral analysis tool designed to catch malicious packages and compromised AI agent servers at runtime.
Specs: Ships with YARA-compatible signatures and SARIF output.
Impact: Dropped the first commit on March 21st, and by April 3rd, Microsoft Azure detected a matching critical runtime vulnerability (CVE-2026-32211).
Switchboard Prime(AI Routing)
What it does: An MCP-native intelligent routing layer that dynamically switches between LLM providers using a custom sentence-transformer classifier.

Hello from a returning Punekar / Local AI & Homelab tinkerer!
I’m Ranjan. I recently relocated back to Pune from the US and wanted to introduce myself and connect with the local FOSS community.
My roots in tech actually started right here in Maharashtra (B.E. from Marathwada University, starting my career at Praj Industries) before moving into software architecture and technical leadership for enterprises in the US. Currently, I run LocalFirst AI , a boutique consultancy helping Indian businesses deploy local, open-weight LLMs to cut cloud API costs and ensure data sovereignty.
When I’m not consulting, I’m a massive self-hosting tinkerer. I run a distributed homelab anchored by a Proxmox hypervisor running Debian Trixie LXC containers. I heavily rely on FOSS alternatives to de-google my digital life: Immich for photos, Invidious/Redlib for media, Forgejo for git, OpenCloud for docs, and Vaultwarden for secrets.
I’m also big on privacy and zero-trust networking, so everything is tied together via Tailscale and an OpenWrt router, with AdGuard and SearXNG keeping things clean. I even have a remote ZimaBoard node running at my daughter’s place!
I just wanted to say hello, reintroduce myself to the Pune tech ecosystem, and start attending the meetups. I’m looking forward to meeting fellow tinkerers, swapping homelab notes, and eventually finding ways to contribute.
Hi this is DP from Goa. I’ve been in Bengaluru now for several years now. I have used and learned a lot about technology through libre software.
I am not involved in contributing to any oss projects in any technical or non technical way.
So many projects are favorites just by allowing access to functionalities heavily limited by non foss options under a premium paywall. Leaving aside the universal favorites (I assume) like ffmpeg and VLC. I do like things like audacity, openshot, hledger, osm based map apps like organic maps, and open source alternative front ends like redlib etc.
I don’t think in recent times I’m very much updated or inundated with the latest in technology. I’m on a break from tech and career so I don’t follow keenly. But when I did, it was a bunch of RSS feeds mostly. Or atom.
Hi everyone! I’m an 18-year-old student currently taking a gap year to prepare online for the JEE. I operate entirely from my iPad. I am deeply interested in tech activism, decentralized governance, and public-interest technology. I want to use my 2–3 hours of free time on weekends to learn how open-source organizations run, participate in community voting, and help out with digital outreach.
How you are involved in open source world, if any ?
I am completely new to the open-source world and this is my very first community. I don’t have a corporate tech background yet, but I want to get involved by supporting the community’s operations. I plan to contribute through non-coding and light technical tasks—like editing promotional event videos, designing campaign graphics, managing data tracking in Advanced Excel, or formatting basic documentation using HTML/CSS.
