hello to all of you
I’m Harihara Sudhan, and I have a third-grade engineering degree. My experience with open source was a little different; for the previous year and a half, I experienced depression and social isolation. Prior to that, I had been a complete beginner in the field of computer science from my first year of graduating.I began experimenting with Linux during that time of loneliness. At first, it was somewhat challenging (I believe I was dual booting worngly for about six or seven times), but after that, it seemed interesting. Later, after discovering termux on Pinterest, I began using it. Later, after discovering f-droid, everything changed and I was able to degoogle my phone. I got lost in exploring it, and soon my laptop, mobile phone, and software became my entire universe.I am currently relishing every moment of it, and it was serene.I’m going to contribute to our community.I’m glad to share this with all of you.
Hi, I’m Tanmoy Sarkar, a software developer from West Bengal, India. I enjoy making tools that can help others make their work easier. For now, I am more inetersted in networking and cloudnative related things.
Looking forward to learn more from fellow developers.
Hi,
Kartik Mistry here. I started with FOSS around 2000 when I encountered Linux in the college by overwriting Lilo config on my precious PC
I was part of IndLinux (Did Gujarati localization for many years and still doing for some projects).
Current hats: Debian Developer and Wikipedia contributor.
Hi everyone! I’m Udbhav, currently an undergrad student and I’m interested in security, web development, and design. I’m a big fan of FOSS creative tools like Blender, Inkscape and Audacity. I’m also planning to attend tomorrow’s Hyderabad meetup to meet people and see some of the talks!
So I’m Dirk, from Belgium.
I’m doing an office job in the Brussels area.
At home I’m using Linux since 2014 now.
Tried and switched to different distributions, currently using Linux Mint Cinnamon.
I use the computer mostly for creative things: graphics and music.
My fav apps for graphic work are are Gimp, Inkscape, RawTherapee.
For music I use Reaper, Mod Audio, U-He synths, … (not FOSS I know, but I’m glad it all runs natively under Linux).
Within my friendzone, the existence of Linux is still a bit unknown. Let alone that people know that music can be made with (FL)OSS. For me the purpose is to spread the word, broaden the open source idea to more people, so they know they have possibilities too to be more creative in a free way. It can open eyes to more people or nudge other artists or the industry.
In the past 10 years I saw a lot change and tons of new applications coming up (certainly in Linux music production). However, there’s so much variety but things are a bit spread and unconnected.
I’d love to be updated and be in touch with interesting people via this community!

Hi all
I’m Arjun TK,
A Tech enthusiast,Beginner Webdev and Content writer.I’m just someone who’s inherently curious and is constantly trying out new things.I’m a newbie in this forum, and this is my second post here.
I’m always exploring the internet to find out stuff and this very instinct led me to this forum.Saw some cool stuff happening here so thought i’d come and say hi.
Although not an avid contributor,I had been part of the FOSS ecosystem for quite sometime as of now.Developed an interest for Open Source during my highschool years and been using many tools and softwares ever since.
There’s nothing i love more than working on cool stuff with people while exploring techstacks and i’d love to contribute to FOSS projects as i learn more about them.
Hi! I’m a FOSS enthusiast from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Started using FOSS in 2015 after a computer repair shop installed Ubuntu on the home PC, though I was unaware of the Free software movement or the philosophy or hacker culture back then. First contribution to open source was in 2017 with Malayalam translation of Pepper&Carrot, an open source webcomic. Some years later, in college, I developed pybatmesh to help people communicate during internet shutdowns, but that didn’t go as expected.
First got to know about FOSS United in 2022 after using Frappe Books for an NSS charity food court, and later became the FOSS Club lead of my college. You can find me online on the fediverse, on random lemmy communities and Disroot’s Akkoma instance.
