@rahulporuri Sure thanks. Will do.
hello to all of you
Iām Harihara Sudhan, and I have a third-grade engineering degree. My experience with open source was a little different; for the previous year and a half, I experienced depression and social isolation. Prior to that, I had been a complete beginner in the field of computer science from my first year of graduating.I began experimenting with Linux during that time of loneliness. At first, it was somewhat challenging (I believe I was dual booting worngly for about six or seven times), but after that, it seemed interesting. Later, after discovering termux on Pinterest, I began using it. Later, after discovering f-droid, everything changed and I was able to degoogle my phone. I got lost in exploring it, and soon my laptop, mobile phone, and software became my entire universe.I am currently relishing every moment of it, and it was serene.Iām going to contribute to our community.Iām glad to share this with all of you.
Hi, Iām Tanmoy Sarkar, a software developer from West Bengal, India. I enjoy making tools that can help others make their work easier. For now, I am more inetersted in networking and cloudnative related things.
Looking forward to learn more from fellow developers.
Hi,
Kartik Mistry here. I started with FOSS around 2000 when I encountered Linux in the college by overwriting Lilo config on my precious PC
I was part of IndLinux (Did Gujarati localization for many years and still doing for some projects).
Current hats: Debian Developer and Wikipedia contributor.
Hi everyone! Iām Udbhav, currently an undergrad student and Iām interested in security, web development, and design. Iām a big fan of FOSS creative tools like Blender, Inkscape and Audacity. Iām also planning to attend tomorrowās Hyderabad meetup to meet people and see some of the talks!
So Iām Dirk, from Belgium.
Iām doing an office job in the Brussels area.
At home Iām using Linux since 2014 now.
Tried and switched to different distributions, currently using Linux Mint Cinnamon.
I use the computer mostly for creative things: graphics and music.
My fav apps for graphic work are are Gimp, Inkscape, RawTherapee.
For music I use Reaper, Mod Audio, U-He synths, ā¦ (not FOSS I know, but Iām glad it all runs natively under Linux).
Within my friendzone, the existence of Linux is still a bit unknown. Let alone that people know that music can be made with (FL)OSS. For me the purpose is to spread the word, broaden the open source idea to more people, so they know they have possibilities too to be more creative in a free way. It can open eyes to more people or nudge other artists or the industry.
In the past 10 years I saw a lot change and tons of new applications coming up (certainly in Linux music production). However, thereās so much variety but things are a bit spread and unconnected.
Iād love to be updated and be in touch with interesting people via this community!

Hi all
Iām Arjun TK,
A Tech enthusiast,Beginner Webdev and Content writer.Iām just someone whoās inherently curious and is constantly trying out new things.Iām a newbie in this forum, and this is my second post here.
Iām always exploring the internet to find out stuff and this very instinct led me to this forum.Saw some cool stuff happening here so thought iād come and say hi.
Although not an avid contributor,I had been part of the FOSS ecosystem for quite sometime as of now.Developed an interest for Open Source during my highschool years and been using many tools and softwares ever since.
Thereās nothing i love more than working on cool stuff with people while exploring techstacks and iād love to contribute to FOSS projects as i learn more about them.
Hi! Iām a FOSS enthusiast from Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. Started using FOSS in 2015 after a computer repair shop installed Ubuntu on the home PC, though I was unaware of the Free software movement or the philosophy or hacker culture back then. First contribution to open source was in 2017 with Malayalam translation of Pepper&Carrot, an open source webcomic. Some years later, in college, I developed pybatmesh to help people communicate during internet shutdowns, but that didnāt go as expected.
First got to know about FOSS United in 2022 after using Frappe Books for an NSS charity food court, and later became the FOSS Club lead of my college. You can find me online on the fediverse, on random lemmy communities and Disrootās Akkoma instance.
Hey guysā¦
I also new to this community. I am happy to join this. I am a writer with many years of experience.
I am excited to join this community.
Thanks!
Hi Guys!!!. I am Gowthamdurai Final Year IT student . I selected IT to solve my curiosity how actually the computer works and how it created the reveloution.

Bonjour
Myself Pruthviraj, i have been not extensively working as full stack engineer. What I do is apply some logic on the go, experiment with stack overflow answers, develop by copying code.
Coming to the truth, I am an software engineer and now I got this bug to unleash my true potential as software developer, looking to contribute for open source and learn as much I can by tinkering
Thank you

Hey everyone,
I have been building software applications since the age of 8. My first hobby project was a device driver for Montezumaās Return by Rockstar Games, solving a stuttering graphics issue on my Intel Pentium 3 with 128MB RAM and a 20GB HDD. In 4th grade, I developed a key-swapping device driver to fix my keyboard and assisted my father in AutoCAD 2D and 3D design for his machine shop production line industry during my 4th grade vacations.
Over the years, I have worked with 100+ startups, enterprises, MNCs, and government bodies at both state and national levels, spanning industries such as mobile and web tech, blockchain, cryptocurrency, embedded systems, IoT, AI/ML in linguistic technology, NLP (audio & text), enterprise tech with SAP, cleantech, cybersecurity, fintech, foodtech, and insuretech. I have been the first engineer for many startups and research initiatives, collaborating with top-tier researchers across government-backed universities.
I have actively contributed to IndiaStack, DroneStack (DigitalSky), and OpenForge, an open-source e-governance initiative by the Indian government. Additionally, I assist incubation centers and networks in scaling their tech divisions and am involved in medtech ML research products for medical universities.
My engagement with FOSSUnited spans multiple regionsāBelgaum in 2024 and Pune in 2025, where I participated in FossHack 2025 under the banner of Fundsroom Investment Services.
Currently, I thrive in low-level systems engineering, working at the intersection of WebAssembly, Quantum Computing, and high-performance computing for open-source development and large-scale global opportunities. However, my main forte remains critical software engineering and product building.
Beyond tech, I am the Vice President of Public Relations at KLS IMER Toastmasters Club, Belgaum, balancing my leadership role with my passion for software innovation.
I have participated in 30+ hackathons, often building production-grade solutions overnight, solo, taking projects from concept to execution in record time.
For me, a weekend well spent is one where I get to work on a challenging, fulfilling project that I can proudly add to my quiver. I am always looking to connect with like-minded folks, especially those I met at FOSSUnited Pune at DY Patil Intr University in FOSSUnited, to build and contribute to meaningful open-source innovations.
